Hours: Four hours activity and one hour lecture per week Description: Introduction to modern/contemporary dance practices. Activities will focus on the embodied knowledge and beginnings of modern dance from the late 19th century to the mid 20th century. Students will examine the development of this dance form through its many manifestations such as a function of nationalism, social justice, and diplomacy. Effective fall 2022, changed from PADA 254
