"By Wind, Wave, and Song: Traditional Navigation in the Indian Ocean," a public lecture by Dr. Lance Nolde, Department of History, CSUCI. Professor Nolde graduated from CSUCI in 2006 with a major in History before pursuing his PhD in ocean history at the University of Hawai'i. Now Associate Professor at CSUCI, Dr. Nolde teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on world history, environmental history, and Asian history. His research is focused on early modern Southeast Asian and world history, and on the social and cultural histories of maritime communities. |
