Description
Hours: Six hours clinical lab per week Prerequisites: NRS 222 and NRS 223 Description: This course provides the student the opportunity to function as a contributing member of the interprofessional team and collectively apply the knowledge, skill, and attitudes gained through previous courses. Students will be given the opportunity to provide care to a caseload of patients that is safe, evidence-based, patient-centered, and focused on promoting optimal outcomes. Emphasis is placed on demonstrating professional behaviors, time management and organizational skills, communication that supports information exchange, effective use of informatics, interprofessional collaboration and conflict mediation, ethical behavior, leadership skills, and integration of quality indicators. Clinical experiences enable the student to apply theoretical concepts, implement safe care, and managing care of patients with multiple needs holistically.
