Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: MUS 161 with grade C- or better Recommended: MUS 161 with grade of B or better within the past two semesters Corequisite: MUS 163 Description: Focuses on the critical study and analysis of diatonic harmony of the common-practice era (1600-1900) and popular musical genres.  Topics include voice leading, counterpoint, basic music analysis, figured bass, and composition. Effective fall 2022, changed from PAMU 261.
