ENGL 474 - Approaches to English Grammar

Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisites: ENGL 315 This course uses various approaches to analyze the form, function, and meaning of English grammar, including alternative ways to understand grammar in the context of real language tasks. Particular attention is paid to cultural and social assumptions about grammar and how they have shaped our attitudes toward language use.
