Description: Hours: Three hours lecture per week
Prerequisite: ECS 310, ECS 330, ECS 335, ECS 340, ECS 345, SPED 345 and Senior standing and program permission required (consent of instructor)
Corequisite: ECS 450, ECS 461 and ECS 465
Description: Focus on the developmental and ecological principles of assessment and teaching strategies for infants, toddlers, and young children, ages birth to three, and their families. This course will prepare students to plan and implement individualized, developmentally, and culturally appropriate assessment and curricular/teaching strategies for very young children including children with special rights in diverse settings with a focus on cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.
