Man Cave: A One-Man Sci-Fi Climate Change Event

Date October 17, 2019 6:00 PM–8:00 PM
Location Grand Salon
Description Performance

Swinging between urgency and irony, the existential comedy of "Man Cave” finds the last man on earth broadcasting advice to whatever Klingons or Vulcans may still be out there listening. It
integrates science, economics, politics, ethics, psychology, history, and religion to consider the collective action necessary to escape the looming existential void “with a lot more swagger and humor than [Al Gore] could ever manage.” (Orlando
Sentinel). The play stirs a sudden active interest in Environmental Studies and makes an emotional case for action that bridges the divide between doubters and activists.
