The impact of religious beliefs on the attitudes of Foreign Policy

Despite coming together as one country, America is a diverse country with various religions. I plan to explore the patterns that emerge from the various religious backgrounds as well as the aspects of isolationism, the policy of isolating one’s country from the affairs of other nations. America’s influence around the world holds a prominent role in international relations with other countries and the religious influence of individuals is a factor that is a large contributor to the American society. Utilizing the 2008 American National Election Study I will investigate the impact of religion on their attitudes toward Foreign Policy. I believe American Foreign Policy reflects religious influences, and has a widespread appeal among ordinary citizens.
