Description: Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Admission to Master of Arts in Early Childhood Studies program Description: Exploration of  inclusion and disability rights within the context of early childhood education. Examination of theoretical frameworks and diverse perspectives on disability, its intersection with race and class, history of the disability rights movement, legislation, policies, and practices to promote disability rights and inclusion for young children and their families. Practical knowledge and strategies for understanding, engaging with, and advocating for/with the disability population and advancing disability rights and inclusion for young children and their families.
