Description: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems and cartography with emphasis on communicating spatial data across web and mobile platforms. Students learn data models, projections, symbolization, and basic spatial analysis using ArcGIS Online and related tools. The course integrates short lectures with guided labs and applied projects that require clear reasoning about evidence, design choices, and uncertainty in order to produce effective, audience-appropriate maps and story products.
