Description: Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Admission to the BSN program or the ADN or RN to BSN program Description: This course will examine leadership principles and explore the nurse's roles and responsibilities as a member of an interprofessional care team in directing and evaluating patient care activities. The student will gain an understanding of the healthcare system, how healthcare is delivered, and the nurse's role in policy development so that they can effectively advocate for patients, families, communities, and populations, to affect change and reduce health disparities.
