Description: Early Childhood teaching experience in preschool and/or transitional kindergarten settings under the supervision of a mentor teacher and a university student teacher supervisor focusing culturally and developmentally appropriate teaching practices. Involves development, application, practice and reflection of teaching curriculum and assessment strategies in culturally diverse early childhood settings. Program permission required. Students must complete field site requirements such as a Negative TB Skin Test (less than a year old), immunization record, Live scan fingerprinting, or Certificate of Clearance. Some sites may have additional requirements.
