Description: The history of dance in relation to historical, social, and political influences, in the global and western traditions, as well as the history of dance productions. Includes formal productions and performances as well as other types of dance, such as ballroom, ceremonial, or folk dancing. Dance in history is contextualized within multicultural perspectives. Students must earn a C- or better to fulfill the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR).
