Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Description: This course investigates a wide range of issues including, but not limited to, the origins of the law in classical civilizations, the interplays between/among law, religion, government, and morality, evolutions of diverse legal systems in different societies and traditions, legal and ethical challenges of modern sciences, the rule of law in an international environment, and the debate over the extent and limits of the laws in coping with social and technological problems of modern life.
