Description
Hours: Twelve hours laboratory per week Prerequisite: NRS 300, NRS 301 and NRS 304 Corequisite: NRS 312 and NRS 306 Description: This clinical course focuses on adult patients experiencing acute and chronic health alterations that require medical and/or surgical intervention. Emphasis is placed on providing patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, informatics, safety, communication, leadership, and professionalism for achievement of optimal patient outcomes. The student will be able to learn the role of the nurse in an interdisciplinary team within a complex health system.¿¿The lab practicum provides the student an opportunity to apply knowledge, skills, and attitudes in a simulated environment.
