Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisites: POLS 103 Examination of how and why states develop distinct foreign policies through review of prominent theoretical perspectives in the comparative foreign policy literature. Application of theories to a number of real world cases of foreign policy decision making by the governments of countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, in different issue areas, including national security policy, foreign economic policy, human rights, environmental policy, and the fight against terrorism.
