Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: SOC 100, SOC 201, and SOC 202 Introduces the sociological perspective on the economy, paying special attention to issues of money and work and their implications for social life. Examines work, consumption, lifestyles, jobs, organizations, intimacy, marriage, and households and other diverse topics to uncover how economic phenomena and processes are shaped by social structures, cultural understandings, and distributions of power.
