Hours: Three hours of lecture per week Prerequisites: POLS 103 Examines countries of Latin America from the late 19th century to the present. Focuses is on problems these states have faced in their struggle for economic, political, and social development in the broader global system, including the impact of extra-regional states, such as the U.S.
