Description
Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: MUS 161, MUS 162, MUS 263, MUS 265, MUS 163, and MUS 264; or Consent of Instructor Description: Develop skills in the fundamentals of the jazz language, including chord construction, scales, progressions, and standard song forms. Topics include jazz standard repertoire, writing of original compositions in the style of important artists, and a final project arrangement for small jazz ensemble.
