Hours: Three hours lecture per week Description: Explores the development of theater in various parts of the world, from early origins in antiquity through the 18th century. Considers representative plays and other performance texts with special attention to the historical, cultural, and political contexts of major theatrical movements, artists, and conventions. Requires attending, or participating in, a theatrical performance
