Description
Hours: Three hours lecture per week Examines the history of the Pacific from human settlement to the present. Special attention will be paid to cross-cultural encounters, religious conversion, imperialism, and post-colonial realities in the region. The course employs interdisciplinary methods borrowed from anthropology, archaeology, and linguistics.
