Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Junior Standing and successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4) or Consent of Instructor Description: Explores the historical, economic, political, and social conditions shaping the lives of Chicanas in the U.S. Students examine the relationship between patriarchy, racism, and class stratification, as well as Chicana feminist thought and its historical trajectory as a theoretical and philosophical foundation in Chicana/o Studies.
