Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Description: Explores the historical forces that have shaped U.S. relations with the world, examining ideas of empire and expansion, the role of ideological, economic, and cultural issues in influencing relationships, and the people who shaped U.S. diplomacy (of various kinds). Assesses the interactive relationship of U.S. influence abroad as well as the influence of the world on life in the United States.
