Description

Hours: Two hours seminar and three hours laboratory per week Prerequisite: ANTH 105 Understanding technologies of the past through replication, experimentation, and discussion. Emphasis will be placed on making stone tools, basketry, and pottery, among other technologies that have been common and important to human societies throughout the world. The cultural significance of these technologies will also be considered, including their relationships to subsistence, social organization, exchange, status, and identity. A lab fee is required.
