Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Junior Standing and successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4) Description: Studies jazz music as a uniquely African American art form and social phenomenon. Issues of race, ethnicity, class, gender, and social justice will be examined to understand the origins and evolution of jazz.
