Description
Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Junior Standing and successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4) Description: Introduction to the study of gender and sexuality in society. Explores how gender and sexuality are determined, including their social construction, and how they organize and shape our lives. Situates gender and sexuality in a broader cross-cultural and historical context. Examines the relevance of gender and sexuality¿and their intersection with race, ethnicity, and social class¿in shaping our health and welfare, educational and economic trajectories, families, and political participation.
