Description
Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Admission to the BSN program Recommended: NRS 304 Pathophysiology and Pharmacology I Description: This in 2nd course in a 2 course sequence that focuses on pharmacology and pathophysiology. The basic principles of pharmacology will be covered with an emphasis on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and therapeutic outcomes related to drug classification. Pathophysiology explores the manifestation of diseases, risk factors, and underlying physiological dysfunction. Both pharmacological and nonpharmacological nursing interventions will be discussed with a focus on safe and ethical clinical decision making.
