Notes

An examination of science fiction and fantasy works (films, novels, short stores, comic books, video games, etc.) through the four fields of Anthropology with a focus on answering the question-What makes us human?- Each week students will compare academic literature concepts to those presented in the science fiction and fantasy worlds. Students in this course will learn how science fiction and fantasy¿s anthropological viewpoints can address our understanding of different cultures, languages, biological origins, and archaeological history.
