NRS 350 - Nursing Research

Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Admission to Nursing Program or the ADN/RN to BSN Program Description: Promotes utilization of evidence in a variety of settings including in designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives for safe, quality, and equitable person-centered care. Introduces students to the nursing research process, develops skills in searching the literature, identifying data analysis, and critiquing research to promote an understanding of the importance of evidence-based practice quality improvement and patient safety. Includes exploration of the social determinants of health and ethical considerations in research and evidence-based practice in diverse populations. This is a writing intensive course.
