Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Admission to the Multiple Subject Teaching Credential program Description: Students will begin the journey into professional mathematics teaching, having opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and commitments that will help them teach mathematics in ways that engage and respect children¿s social, academic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.  Designed to help students become educators who think deeply about some central questions in mathematics teaching; who know a bit about the practical side of mathematics teaching and about resources available to teachers; and who have the skills, confidence, and curiosity to learn from teaching.
