Hours: Three hours lecture per week Description: An introduction to the history, social challenges, academic challenges, financial challenges and social justice issues of those that are the first in the family to go to college. Students will explore their own educational experience and institutions of higher education, conduct research related to first generation students, and learn ways to navigate the issues that first generation students face.
