ESRM 341 - The National Park

Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Junior Standing and successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4) or Consent of Instructor Description: An interdisciplinary, in-depth study of one or more units of the National Park Service from a variety of perspectives including Political Science, Public Administration, and Environmental Science and Resource Management. The course analyzes how conservation issues and practices, administrative and policy processes and interpretive (educational) programs work within the context of a national public resources agency. Each term this course will focus on one or more park unit in the region.
