Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Description: Discussion of major ethical issues confronting the practice of medicine and biomedical science. Examines the sources, fundamental principles, and the application of ethical frameworks that help to analyze contemporary questions in medical ethics. Applies ethics to the issues of confidentiality, truth telling, autonomy, paternalism and informed consent, reproductive issues, biotechnology, euthanasia, and justice in the healthcare system.
