Description
Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Junior Standing and successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4) or Consent of Instructor Description: Examination of theories of and issues in the interdisciplinary field of peace and conflict studies. In-depth analysis of the concepts of peace and war, causes of conflict and war, achieving negative peace, building positive peace, in-depth case studies in nonviolence. Comparison of disciplinary approaches to the field as well as appraisal of interdisciplinary syntheses.
