Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisites: Admission to the Computer Science or Mathematics Graduate Program Topics include: Algebraic varieties over algebraically closed fields and finite fields, Hamming codes, cyclic codes, BCH codes, alternant codes, Goppa codes, and codes on graphs.
