ESRM 210 - Physical Oceanography

Description

Hours: Three hours of lecture and three hours of lab a week Description: Three hours lecture and three hours laboratory. This course focuses on ways in which oceans function and interact with earth systems. Consideration is given to sea floor geology, ocean currents and vertical mixing, water chemistry, heat and energy transfer, and coastal processes. This course also addresses the importance of the oceans to human beings as well as the impact of human activities on the oceans.
