ART 395 - Book Arts

Description

Hours: Six hours activity per week Prerequisite: ART 105 and ART 106 and ART 108 and ART 109 Description: Explores the process of designing and creating one-of-a-kind and small edition handmade artists books. Covers traditional and experimental approaches to book-making using a variety of hand-produced mediums such as drawing, printmaking, collage, stamps, stencils, photocopying, along with digital imagery and text. Projects address a variety of unique book structures, including zines, modified accordion books, hand-sewn case-bound structures, and sculptural books.
