Hours: Three hours lecture per week A general survey of the history and goals of archaeology, with an emphasis on methods of data collection, dating, and interpretation. Additional topics include human adaptations to the cultural and natural worlds, the development of complex societies, and the application of archaeological knowledge to the present.
