Hours: Three hours lecture per week Description: Exploration of Southeast Asian history from the sixteenth century to the present. Analyzes major changes across the entire Southeast Asian region¿Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Burma, Laos, Singapore, and Timor Leste¿during key historical periods, including the rise and fall of traditional kingdoms, the era of modern imperialism, the impact of World War II, the rise of national revolutions, and the emergence of new nations.
