Description

Hours: Three hours lecture/discussion per week Prerequisite: Junior Standing and successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4) Description: In-depth critical approaches to the study of African American, Chicana/o, Asian American, Native American, and/or additional ethnic literary, cultural, and intellectual traditions. We emphasize theory and interpretive practices grounded in histories of artistic, social, and political movements; lived experiences; shifting concepts of race, citizenship, belonging, resistance, and resilience; and access to education and economic and social mobility.
