ART 436 - Modern Art (1850-1970)

Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Junior Standing and successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4) Description: From Impressionism in the nineteenth century, through Cubism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art in the twentieth, this course explores concepts, periods, trends, and "-isms" of the modern era (1850 - 1970). Students must earn a C- or better to fulfill GWAR.
