ECS 481 - Stud Teaching 10 Day & Seminar

Description

Hours: One hour seminar and variable hours field studies per week Prerequisite: Senior standing, ECS 320, ECS 325, SPED 345/PSY 345 and Consent of Chair Corequisite: ECS 460 or ECS 468 and ECS 470 Description: Student teaching in center-based settings for infants and toddlers, or in preschool and early elementary school settings. Students practice assessment and instructional strategies for appropriately aged children. Seminar is held in conjunction with the student teaching experience to serve as a forum for integrating research, theory, and recommended practices. Ten full school days of student teaching at alternate site while employed 35+ hours in an early childhood setting of different age-range children. Fingerprint clearance is required.
