Description
Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Junior Standing or Consent of Instructor Description: Introduces foundational theories currently influencing literary, social studies, and cultural analysis and criticism. Specific schools of theoretical inquiry include structuralist, materialist, psychoanalytic, deconstructive, feminist, gender, queer, postcolonial, critical race, reader response, and cultural studies. This course was formerly known as ENGL 420, changed January 2009.
