Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Description: Examines the rise of East Asia (China, Japan, and Korea) from 1600 to the present. Provides an East Asian perspective on themes of globalization that have shaped modern nation states around the world, including colonization and imperialism, and industrialization. Topics covered include war, revolutions, and governments, as well as philosophies and cultural trends.
