Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Description: Examines children in a societal context focusing on the interrelationship of family, school and community with an emphasis on historical and cultural factors which influence the family and processes of socialization such as funds of knowledge particularly in diverse communities. Focuses on the importance of respectful, reciprocal relationships that support and empower families and the social context of Southern California. This course has been designated as Service Learning.
