PAMU 243 - Teaching Music to Children

Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week An introduction to musical experiences appropriate for children in grades K-6. Consisting of instruction in music fundamentals, general music, vocal music and instrumental music for the classroom teacher, the course also incorporates movement and improvisation in the form of dance and theater. Kodaly, Orff and Dalcroze techniques will be emphasized. Includes music technology in the classroom. Course was formerly called PAMU 343, changed Fall 2007.
