NRS 421 - Nursing Complex Adult Lab

Description

Hours: Twelve hours laboratory per week Prerequisite: NRS 412 and NRS 413 Corequisite: NRS 420 Description: This clinical course focuses on patients with complex health needs. Emphasis is placed on providing patient-centered collaborative care, leadership, systems-based practice, technology integration, patient safety, and evidence-based practice. In addition, recognize the ethical implications of all nursing actions. Students are guided by the concepts of the nursing metaparadigm and the nursing process to provide holistic nursing care and optimal patient outcomes. The student will be able to learn from clinical experiences and apply theoretical concepts to deliver safe patient care in the acute care setting. Students also engage in laboratory practicum to improve knowledge, skills, and safe practices in a simulated environment.
