Description: Hours: Three hours lecture per week

Description: Examines the dispersal of Africans to other continents over the last two thousand years. Special attention will be paid to the African slave trade, identity formation, and nationalism. The course employs interdisciplinary methods borrowed from anthropology, art history, linguistics, and literature.
