Description: Hours: Three hours seminar per week
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4).
Description: This interdisciplinary humanities-focused seminar facilitates transfer students' intellectual and social transition to CSU Channel Islands through a problem-based learning approach. Students engage with contemporary societal issues by integrating multiple disciplinary perspectives and methodologies. The course emphasizes critical analysis, independent inquiry, and the application of prior learning experiences to new academic contexts. Through structured reflection and active engagement with the university's mission, students develop their capacity for interdisciplinary thinking while building connections between their previous academic work, their current degree programs, and broader social issues.
