Emphasis is placed on management of patients facing emotional and psychological stressors, as well as promoting and maintaining the mental health of individuals and families, with the application of the nursing process and Neuman Systems Model. Concepts of therapeutic communication, crisis intervention, management of mental health disorders, and coping skills are integrated throughout the course
